Emily is a shared mobility expert focused on leveraging new transportation technologies to advance the public interest. She recently joined Lime as Senior Director of Policy and Public Affairs, leading the company’s work to enable new policy pathways for the operation of its dock-free shared bike, e-bike and electric scooter services. After starting her career on Capitol Hill and working in infrastructure finance, Emily made the leap to Silicon Valley as one of the earliest employees at Lyft, where she helped pioneer the global ridesharing industry. The creator and longtime leader of Lyft’s Transportation Policy team, she spent the last half-decade working hand-in-hand with cities and experts to end the need for car ownership by rethinking policy structures, public transport and urban design. She currently serves on the advisory council for the National Center for Sustainable Transportation in the United States and is a board member of UCLA’s Institute of Transportation studies. She holds an M.P.A. in Public Finance from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego.
