Guest Speaker Tatsuya Matsui Robot Designer

Tatsuya Matsui is a representative and chief designer at Flower Robotics Co., Ltd. He was born in 1969 Tokyo. He graduated from Nihon University of Art. After building his career as a member of Kenzo Tange and Urtec Research Laboratory and In-House Designer for IBM · Lotus France, he became a researcher for science and technology agency ERATO Kitano Symbiotic Systems Project. He designed Humanoid Robot SIG and PINO, and received the Good Design Award in 2000. He established Flower Robotics,inc. in 2001. He launched flower girl concept robot Posy, mannequin type robot Palette, smart phone robot, Polaris co-developed with KDDI and home robot Patin which its function can be enhanced. He was a guest for final review at the 2017 xLAB summer program.
